Kansas State Requirements:

Continuing Education Hours:
12 Hours Biennially
Including 1 Hour of Ethics
LTC Producers Only – Including Initial 4 Hours LTC, 1 Hour LTC every compliance
License Renewal Date:
License renewal date is the agent's date of birth.
Newly Licensed Agents – License renewal date is two years from the date when the license was issued.
Types of courses accepted for CE Credit:
Classroom Courses
Self-Study Courses
Online Courses
An Instructor can earn the same number of credit hours as the student
Final Exam:
Examination monitors shall not be affiliated in any way with the providing organization or the licensee and shall be subject to approval by the commissioner or the commissioner’s designee. 
General Monitor Affidavit Needed
Course Subject Requirements:
1 Hour of Ethics each compliance period 
Courses must be approved for lines of insurance for which agent is licensed.
Agency management courses limited to 3 hours per compliance period.
LONG TERM CARE REQUIREMENT:
Legislation passed in 2009 for 4 hours of initial LTC, 1 hour LTC every compliance following.  Compliance by 7/1/10.
Carryover Requirements:
Credit hours cannot be carried over to the next compliance period.
Course Repetition:
Credit will not be given for a course that is repeated within a compliance period.
Exemptions:
Individuals licensed less than two years at the time of the compliance date.
