| Final Exam: Exams are required to be monitored by a disinterested third party. Specific Monitor Affidavit Needed. |
| Course Subject Requirements: Three (3) hours of ethics each compliance period Insurance producers licensed to sell, solicit or negotiate annuities prior to 9/25/11 must complete a one-time 4 hour annuity training course by 3/25/12 in order to continue to sell annuities. Individuals who obtain a life insurance license on or after 9/25/11 must complete this training before selling, soliciting or negotiating annuity products. |
| LONG TERM CARE REQUIREMENT: 8 hours initial LTC, 4 hours LTC every 24 months thereafter. Compliance by 7/1/09 |
| Carryover Requirements: Up to 18 credit hours can be carried over to the next compliance period |
| Course Repetition: Credit may not be given for a course that has been repeated within two-years of its original completion date. |
| Exemptions: Individuals licensed only for credit life, credit accident and health, credit property, crop hail, auto physical damage, mortgage guaranty, mortgage, title, travel accident and baggage, or federal crop insurance. Individuals who are at least 55 years old at the time of compliance and have been licensed for at least 20 years. Non-resident are no longer required to certify to SC CE administrator that CE compliance has been met in the producers home state. However, nonresidents producers must continue to pay the recordkeeping fee Effective January 1, 2010 Producers exempt before this date will be grandfathered in for exemptions. After this date, all producers will be required to complete CE requirements |
